The EDP Business Guide is an attempt to unearth some of those companies, and bring to a wider audience the sheer depth and scale of the local economy.

The aim is to highlight successes across sectors as diverse as food processing and the creative industries. We look at the marine industry and professional services, tourism and financial services and many other areas in which the region stands out.
As in previous years, the heart of the
guide is the Top 75, the definitive league
table of the region’s biggest companies.
In its four years, it has become a useful
guide to judge the fast-growing businesses,
and those which have hit tougher times.
The Top 75 is compiled with the considerable

and ranks the 75 largest firms in our
area by turnover.
